The TruFocus model TFS-6050 X-ray source is an air cooled packaged version found in the highly reliable TFS-605x series of tubes. Other tubes in the series include a higher powered liquid cooled version. The TFS-6050 is an excellent source of high spectral purity radiation with a moderate flux density. It has been designed for continuous operation at its maximum power rating. The tube functions with a grounded cathode, making for simple installation. The TFS-6050 features a low attenuation, 0.005 inch thick, beryllium window and a 1.0 mm focal spot. It ships standard with a tungsten target. However, and recognizing customers needs, TruFocus will customize the tube with different window thicknesses and a wide variety of target materials, as well as provide an optional 0.18 mm diameter focal spot. The tube can also be fitted with both high voltage cable and filament leads to customer specifications, thereby ensuring complete compatibility with existing systems.
